” If you fly a drone and post footage on YouTube, you could end up with a letter from the Federal Aviation Administration.

  Earlier this week, the agency sent a legal notice to Jayson Hanes, a Tampa-based drone hobbyist who has been posting drone-shot videos online for roughly the last year. 

  The FAA said that, because there are ads on YouTube, Hanes’s flights constituted a commercial use of the technology subject to stricter regulations and enforcement action from the agency. It said that if he did not stop flying “commercially,” he could be subject to fines or sanctions.

” This office has received a complaint regarding your use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (aka drone) for commercial purposes referencing your video on the website youtube.com as evidence,” the letter reads. “After a review of your website, it does appear that the complaint is valid.” “

  The hobby use of drones and other model aircraft has never been regulated by the FAA, but the agency has been adamant about making a distinction between hobby and commercial use, which has led to much confusion over the last couple years.

  Where, exactly, does commercial use begin and hobby use end, for instance? If you fly for fun, but happen to sell your footage later, were you flying for a “commercial purpose?” What if you give it to a news organization that runs it on a television station that has ads on it? What if you upload it to YouTube and Google happens to put an ad on it? What if you decide to put an ad on it?

  The letter makes clear that at least some in the FAA (this one was sent by Michael Singleton, an aviation safety inspector in the FAA’s Tampa office) take a very wide view of what is “commercial.” “

” The Twitter account for U.S. Central Command was suspended Monday after it was hacked by ISIS sympathizers — but no classified information was obtained and no military networks were compromised, defense officials said.

  A series of unusual tweets were published with apparent warnings from ISIS, as well as links, images and Pentagon documents that reveal contact information for members of the military.

  The first tweet was published at about 12:30 p.m. ET and read: “AMERICAN SOLDIERS, WE ARE COMING, WATCH YOUR BACK. ISIS.”

  The account’s profile photo became a black-and-white image of a person wearing a Keffiyeh, or scarf, around their head.”

Youtube Offers GIF-Making Share Option On Some Channels

You Can Now Make GIFs Directly From YouTube

 

 

 

 

” If you love making GIFs (and really, who doesn’t?) today is a happy day for you. YouTube has finally heeded the call of millions of users and quietly added a GIF-creator tool to some of its videos (for example, anything uploaded by the PBS Idea Channel). The share button (which previously only had share, embed, and email as options) now includes an extra feature: GIF. 

  It’s a pretty bare-bones affair: tap share, set your start and end points, add any captions if you’d like, and click “create” — YouTube will host the GIF itself. The clip can only be a maximum of 5 seconds long, which makes it somewhat of a crude tool for GIF-makers, but it will help keep file size small. The ease with which one churn out GIFs and add meme-like bottom and top text will certainly be enough for the casual user and perhaps spur on a Mememageddon the likes of which we haven’t seen since 2011.   House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said on Thursday that the Obama White House was contacting YouTube owner Google during the Benghazi terrorist attacks, working on the false narrative even before Americans were out of harm’s way and before the intelligence community examined available evidence. 

  The still classified Obama State Department email, according to Issa, shows that the Obama White House rushed to settle on the false narrative of the anti-Islamic YouTube video instigating the attacks, which was completely at odds with the conclusions reached by reports from the ground. 

“ The e-mail shows the White House had hurried to settle on a false narrative — one at odds with the conclusions reached by those on the ground — before Americans were even out of harm’s way or the intelligence community had made an impartial examination of available evidence,” Issa said.

  Issa has called for the Obama White House to declassify the email. 

  According to Issa, one of the items noted in the email stated, “White House is reaching out to U-Tube [sic] to advise ramifications of the posting of the Pastor Jon video.” 

  Issa scolded current Secretary of State, Democrat John Kerry, for just now turning over a classified version of the email, some 20 months after the attack, while calling on the regime to release a unclassified copy. 

  Without a question, the White House attempted to cover up this attack to prevent the president from looking foolish during his reelection campaign. This is all the proof that should be needed at this point to solidify the call for impeaching President Obama.”

Stunning Tornado Videos From Washington, IL

     Allison Martinez Of FreePatriot.org has assembled a collection of nearly a dozen first-person videos of the tornado that struck Washington Illinois on November 17 . Here we present two of them for your edification .

   The first one is of a father and daughter(s) that witness the tornado bearing down on their home . You will see the tornado approaching and the family taking cover . Then you can hear the house being ripped apart all around them as the camera view goes black and there is only audio until the twister passes . The family emerges to massive destruction of their immediate neighborhood . Here is Allison’s description of the event …

 

” The video below was taken right as the tornado hits  the family’s home.  Josie Wells, the oldest daughter of Marc and Kerry Wells, is clearly in a state of panic, but Marc Wells keeps it together. Apparently, his wife was gone with other family members, so it was  just him and his oldest daughter.   He sees the tornado coming at the house, he gets his daughter and himself inside and while the video goes dark, you can hear the house ripped apart by the storm. You can still hear the tornado sirens going off when they leave what is left of their home and see their neighborhood gone.”

 

 

” The family lost their home, two cars, and practically everything they own. Understandably, they are experiencing a bit of a shock as most families do when something like this happens.

Another stunning video is  one is security footage at the Dairy Queen. It takes about 40 seconds to see something, but watch the blue structure that is across the street.”

Southern California Cop Who Attacked Videographer Needs To Be Identified

 

” An Oxnard police officer attacked a man for attempting to video record an arrest last week, twisting the man’s arm behind his back and violently shoving him against a bench after the man had placed the phone in his pocket.

The cop threatened to arrest the man for refusing to hand over his phone as “evidence” before a commanding officer intervened, telling the cop he was out of line.

The man, who goes by Angel B on Youtube, said he was allowed to leave, but he never did get the name of the officer.

And that is important if we want to at least try to hold him accountable.”
