What he said wasn’t clear, but Walker handled it like a pro: He quipped, “Apparently the protesters come [here] from Wisconsin as well.”
The governor, considered a top contender in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, got a quick standing ovation for his response — one of a number he got during his address.
After spending some time touting his strong domestic record as governor of Wisconsin, Walker sharply criticized the Obama administration for its ineffective strategy in the fight against the Islamic State, and its disapproval of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming address before Congress.”

” Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is sending clear signs about an expected run for the presidency in 2016.
The first-term Republican lawmaker planned to join several other potential candidates at a gathering Sunday in Palm Springs, California, organized by the conservative billionaire Koch brothers, who have a keen interest in the party’s contenders.
More than 450 allies and donors to the Koch network were to attend, with the closing event a panel discussion with Rubio and fellow Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Ted Cruz of Texas on domestic policy.
The organizer, Freedom Partners, is the central hub for the political machine backed by wealthy industrialists Charles and David Koch. The traditionally private Koch group planned to let reporters watch an Internet broadcast of the event.
Over the past two days, Rubio met with his main group of 300 supporters on Miami’s South Beach, and he intended to skip the Senate’s schedule for the upcoming week for fundraisers on the West Coast, Texas and Illinois. Future visits are expected to Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, states that play a critical early role in the nominating process.”

Homes Raided, Subpoenas Issued Targeting Conservative Groups And Allies Of Scott Walker
” In Wisconsin, dozens of conservative groups and allies of Gov. Scott Walker are undergoing political intimidation from the left at the hands of a special prosecutor.
Subpoenas have been issued demanding correspondence and donor information of right-leaning organizations and individuals and raids have been conducted resulting in law enforcement officers taking computers and files in a secret investigation, according to reports.
“In recent weeks, special prosecutor Francis Schmitz has hit dozens of conservative groups with subpoenas demanding documents related to the 2011 and 2012 campaigns to recall Governor Walker and state legislative leaders,” the Wall Street Journal writes.”
The use of taxpayer funds and taxpayer salaried employees to stifle political opponents is something more akin to banana republics than our “representative” type of government , yet here it is on display yet again , this time at the state level .
” “A person who has seen one of the Wisconsin search warrants tells us that the warrants were executed based on the request of Dean Nickel, who filed an affidavit for probable cause.,” the WSJ reported. “Mr. Nickel is a former head of the Wisconsin Department of Justice Public Integrity Unit and has worked as an investigator for the GAB. Mr. Nickel told us he is a contractor for the GAB but wouldn’t discuss the John Doe probe. GAB Director and General Counsel Kevin Kennedy declined to comment.”

Richard M Nixon may be the first politician that comes to mind when one thinks “enemies lists” but Obama and the Dem’s of the 21st century are showing him to be the rank amateur that he really was . The July 22 episode did not disappoint, with the team at “Atlantic Cable News” delving into the Citizen’s United Supreme Court case and effectively accusing Clarence Thomas of bribery. “
This sort of programming , which is predominant in the prime time schedule should be counted as in kind contributions to the democratic party .
So ironic to hear the party of “President Fundraiser” bemoan the corrupting influence of money on our political system . LOL

Not that it really comes as a surprise , after all I did publish a post yesterday entitled ” Win or Lose There Will Be Blood “ , but I was taken quite unawares by the vehemence immediately displayed on Twitter by the so called ” party of tolerance and civil discourse ” on learning of their defeat at the hands of Wisconsin’s citizens .

Considering the fact that the entire recall mess was just another hissy fit in response to an election result of which they did not approve and the progs known proclivities for violent behavior , this latest display of “leftist graciousness ” should be a lesson to all of the less astute political observers in the land .

…Fighters from Occupy Wall Street, unions and independent organizations are organizing “Keep It in the Streets” actions to take place in cities statewide on June 6. Let’s all hope that this turns out to be an accurate representation of public sentiment . It would certainly remove a generous portion of candy out of the union’s pinata .
This man possesses some of that spine that is in scant supply inside the Beltway .

This demonstrates the value of governorships as incubators of real leadership . They actually have to take responsibility for their decisions unlike congressional denizens .
Who besides governors are actually dealing with the issues of the day ? Think Scott Walker , Jan Brewer , Bobby Jindal , Chris Christie .

Professor Jacobson has thoughtfully pointed out that the Wisconsin recall gambit is hemorrhaging support at an amazing clip . If you are of the left and you’ve lost the press you are doomed .

Here’s ours: We see no reason to remove Walker from office. We recommend him in the June 5 recall election.
Walker’s rematch with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was prompted by one issue: Walker’s tough stance with the state’s public-employee unions. It’s inconceivable that the recall election would be occurring absent that. And a disagreement over a single policy is simply not enough to justify a vote against the governor.
A Marquette Law School Poll in January showed that many people in the Badger State agree. In that poll, 72% of Republicans, 44% of independents and 17% of Democrats said recalls should be limited to criminal wrongdoing. Republican state Rep. Robin Vos has proposed tightening the recall mechanism; he should continue to push for that after the election, regardless of who wins.”
I find the above referenced poll results concerning attitudes towards the recall mechanism particularly revealing . It gives one a fine indication as to who believes that they can stand on the merits of their arguments and who feels that any means is acceptable in order to get their way . Remind me again of the left’s commitment to the sanctity of the ballot box .
