Censorship: 38 Journalism Groups Slam Obama’s ‘Politically-Driven Suppression Of News’

” In unprecedented criticism of the White House, 38 journalism groups have assailed the president’s team for censoring media coverage, limiting access to top officials and overall “politically-driven suppression of the news.”

In a letter to President Obama, the 38, led by the Society of Professional Journalists, said efforts by government officials to stifle or block coverage has grown for years and reached a high-point under his administration despite Obama’s 2008 campaign promise to provide transparency.”

Among the “journalist’s” complaints , which we would color a fine example of “too little , too late” and for which the media have only themselves to blame are :

” • Officials blocking reporters’ requests to talk to specific staff people.

• Excessive delays in answering interview requests that stretch past reporters’ deadlines.

• Officials conveying information “on background” — refusing to give reporters what should be public information unless they agree not to say who is speaking.

• Federal agencies blackballing reporters who write critically of them.”

This might really have mattered if the entire mainstream media collective hadn’t spent the past six years making the current administration into the hive of secrecy and lies that it is and we find it exceedingly difficult to dredge up any sympathy for those responsible for foisting the most corrupt and inept presidential administration EVER on us through their clear dereliction .

Read the rest of Paul Bedard’s piece here and try to hold back your tears for the lowly media hacks that have allowed themselves to be trivialized into a position of nothing more than whiny spectators . Boo Hoo Hoo

Watchdog: Holder Lets Prosecutors Get Away With Misconduct

” A government watchdog group has attacked the Justice Department for failing to discipline hundreds of federal prosecutors who have committed serious misconduct during their cases, The Washington Times reported.

The Project on Government Oversight revealed that there were 650 cases of mostly “reckless” or “intentional” infractions from 2002 to 2013, including one incident in which a prosecutor actually had a “close personal relationship” with a defendant.

Calling them “bad apples,” POGO claimed that the Justice Department has declined to name the government attorneys involved, allowing them to get away with and continue their actions.

Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee and Democratic Montana Sen. John Tester introduced a bill on Thursday calling for closer scrutiny of possible prosecutorial misconduct by handing Justice’s independent inspector general the authority to examine such cases.”

SEALs In Bin Laden Raid Revealed

” U.S. special operations forces who participated in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden were in uniform and wearing nametags during a CIA award ceremony attended by the writer of the film “Zero Dark Thirty,” a Pentagon inspector general’s report said Friday.

The report, however, omits a number of revelations disclosed in an early draft that was made public more than a week ago, including that then-CIA Director Leon Panetta revealed the name of the raid commander during his speech at the agency’s June 2011 event.

It also no longer includes revelations that the Pentagon’s top intelligence official, Michael Vickers, divulged the name of an individual involved in the bin Laden raid to the filmmakers.”

If this administration can’t even be trusted to protect the privacy of our Spec-ops troops what chance does the private citizen stand ? With this gangster government it’s all about the politics and looking good . The welfare of others , no matter who they might be is of no concern whatsoever .

” The IG report concludes that it did not identify any instances when sensitive special operations tactics or techniques were provided to filmmakers. But it also found that commandos involved in the raid were readily identifiable during the CIA ceremony.

“We were unable to identify any precautionary measures that were taken to protect the identity of operators that attended this event,” the report said. It added that, according to a commander at the event, the commandos “were in the front row, front, left side, prominently on display for everybody.”

This is shameful political behavior from a shameful Chicago thug administration .
