Scott Walker’s (R-Wis.) treatment by the media continues to highlight the gross disparity in the way with which conservative candidates are analyzed and represented, when compared to their liberal counterparts. Whereas Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Hillary Clinton are all hailed for their various policy proposals, as well as their personal and professional achievements, individuals like Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) are ruthlessly assailed for every quip or comment, be they contextual or otherwise. 

  This was patently evident in 2008 as well as 2012, and will most assuredly be applicable once again in 2016. From tales of Mitt Romney’s elementary school bullying, to reports about Paul’s “Aqua Buddha” college days, the depths to which modern media apparatuses will dredge in order to invalidate a Republican’s candidacy, surpasses even those explored by the Trieste. This is highly problematic, as it only takes an anonymous comment, erroneous claim, or an unverified accusation, in order to destroy the legitimacy of a right leaning contender. This same approach however, would be understandable if it were equally applied to both sides of the political aisle, but seldom is that ever the case.”

    A search of Youtube for videos of the March has revealed a virtual blackout by the major media outlets , thus proving the organizer’s contention  … AP has nothing , Reuters nothing , BBC zip , ABC , CBS , NBC all squat , Fox nada , ITN zilch , even Russia Today has zero coverage . The major surprise though is the complete lack of eye witness videos on the social media sites . 

   The above video from somewhere in the UK is the only video we could find on Youtube , we found none on LiveLeak or Vimeo . Where are the people ? We will keep searching and hopefully will be able to update this post soon with some real eye witness accounts of today’s world-wide? marches . Stay tuned .

A Textbook Example Of Spinning Numbers

 

 

 

” I covered earlier the negative spin Gallup put on its recent Tea Party polling.  What showed a stable support/opposition over the last two years — including a drop in opposition – was spun as a negative only by comparison to three years ago.

Gallup could have titled its report “No real change in Tea Party Support” or “Tea Party Support/Opposition Stable.” Instead, Gallup put this spin on it:

That misleading spin has been picked up and run with across the media, which is trying to tie the supposed decline to Ted Cruz’s rise since 2012.

But there was no meaningful decline since 2012 — just 2% within the poll’s 3% margin of error.  Support is actually 1% higher than in 2011.  You have to go back three years to the 2010 mid-term pro-Republican wave election, when Tea Party support peaked briefly, to see a substantial decline.  But that substantial decline took place prior to the 2012 election, long before Cruz was in the Senate.

Even with that, over 1 in 5 Americans still support the Tea Party and half of Americans are neutral.  Considering the demonization of the Tea Party in the media and Washington, D.C., a stable support/opposition is pretty amazing.

No one is interested in the details, it’s just political gamesmanship.

Sadly, the truth is that the mainstream media in America does not do much real journalism anymore.  At this point, approximately 90 percent of what you see on television is controlled by just 6 giant media corporations.  That is why “the news” seems to be so similar no matter what channel you watch.  Well, it turns out that a lot of Americans are getting tired of the safe, censored, pre-packaged news that they get from the corporate-controlled media.

” Recently I’ve been thinking about young voters (age 18-29) and trying to understand why most of them are attracted to the Democrat Party. In 2008, 45% of voters age 18-29 identified as Democrat, and 27% identified as Republican (Soltis, 2009). I will admit that I’m not around this age group often, so I have no insight into the mind of a young voter. I have a three year old and a six year old. My kids think about Spiderman and Barbie dolls, not political parties.

In 2012, unfortunately President Barack Obama captured a large majority of the African-American vote, the Latino vote, and the Asian vote. He also captured 60% of voters age 18-29. (Mataconis, 2012). As a result, the rapid decline of this great nation continues. The majority of Americans think our country is headed in the wrong direction and that we aren’t better off than we were four years ago. So, what’s the attraction to the Democratic Party for young voters?

I have a few opinions:

1. Its “cool” to be a Democrat. I think it’s safe to say that young people worry about being cool, or part of the “in” crowd. I guess it’s considered cool nowadays to look up to someone like Beyonce or Eva Longoria, both out-spoken Obama supporters. Some young adults may think it’s cool to put on a pair of skinny jeans and fairy boots or a cute black dress, go to a trendy bar that sells over—priced drinks (with little alcohol) and bash Republicans. Aren’t Republicans rich, evil white guys plotting world domination or toothless, uneducated, unwashed rednecks from the “slave states?” The Democrats are the cool crowd that cares about global warming, women’s rights, and income inequality. I guess it’s also way cool to have a President that smokes, shoots hoops, and cares more about March Madness than the national debt.

   I have to be honest. This is truly something I don’t understand. When I think of the word “cool,” Dianne Feinstein, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi DO NOT come to mind. I think of Dana Loesch or S.E. Cupp. These ladies wear leather!! I know there is a huge age difference, but I seriously doubt that Nancy, Dianne, or Hillary EVER rocked a pair of leather pants! “

” When you look at recent mass shootings that have occurred recently there is one specific incident that is very rarely if ever mentioned by the liberal media and Gun Control advocates.

The Ft. Hood Shooting is never cited or discussed or even mentioned by the Anti’s and Gun grabbers like Bloomberg, Schumer, Boxer, Feinstein, McCarthy or Cuomo. They only cite the Tucson, Aurora and Sandy Hook events as reason to restrict law abiding citizens their rights. WHY?

One must make a few assumptions to uncover why they rarely if ever cite the Ft. Hood mass shooting in their quest to deny law abiding citizens their 2nd Amendment rights.

1. It has not received the attention nor coverage that other mass shooting have received because it occurred on a military installation while Obama was the Commander in Chief.

2. It has not received the attention nor coverage that other mass shooting have received because the perpetrator was Muslim and it is not politically correct because the President himself sympathizes with the Muslim plight across the world.

3. It has not received the attention nor coverage that other mass shooting have received because the victims were military personnel and they just don’t have the same impact as civilians and children for good demagoguery.”

New survey data suggest most Americans don’t know which guns are covered by the ban they support.

 

 

   There is a case to be made that the public has been , and continues to be , misled as to what these ” assault weapons ” really are by the very organizations (MSM) charged with informing them of the truth .

 

 

” Although arbitrary distinctions are a defining characteristic of “assault weapon” bans, recent polls indicate that most Americans support them. New survey data suggest one possible explanation: Most Americans don’t know what “assault weapons” are.

 

 

   The more cynical among us , ourselves included , would maintain that this deception is in fact a deliberate attempt to hoodwink the public in pursuit of the statist agenda to which the dinosaur media adhere .

 

 

” A Reason-Rupe Public Opinion Survey conducted this month suggests such misconceptions are common. After asking the 1,000 respondents if they thought people should be “prohibited from owning assault weapons,” the survey (which is sponsored by my employer, the Reason Foundation) asked half of the sample to “describe an assault weapon.” The answers are illuminating.

About two-thirds of the respondents described “assault weapons” as guns that fire rapidly, guns that can fire a large number of rounds without reloading, guns with a lot of “power,” or guns used by the military. More than a quarter described them as “machine guns,” “automatics,” or the equivalent (e.g., “multiple rounds with just one pull of the trigger”).”

 

 

    Ignorance breeds ignorance , or in this case perhaps we should say , lies breed ignorance .

” On his radio show Thursday afternoon, Rush Limbaugh scolded the media for its lack of outrage over Bob Schieffer‘s “over-the-top” comments comparing President Obama taking on the gun lobby to other difficult struggles like defeating Nazi Germany in World War II.

Limbaugh joins fellow conservative radio host Mark Levin in condemning Schieffer’s remarks and wondering aloud why the media have not expressed outrage over such a comparison.

Schieffer’s comments came immediately after Obama announced 23 new “executive actions” on gun violence. He said on CBS, “What happened in Newtown was probably the worst day in this country’s history since 9/11 […] Surely, finding Osama bin Laden, surely passing civil rights legislation – as Lyndon Johnson was able to do – and, before that, surely defeating the Nazis was a much more formidable task than taking on the gun lobby.” “

What would Romney do without the media?

   Taking credit for things not done is a standard liberal method , as is shifting blame . When one controls the MSM it is easy to convince the masses , at least the non-inquisitive ones , of any number of fallacies … think election 2008 , and while the evidence of malfeasance and incompetence is now hard to hide there are still huge numbers of voters that “know” nothing other than what the watercarriers in the Democrat/Media complex would have them believe .
