Sheriff David Clarke Blasts Obama, Holder, And Sharpton Over Handling Of Ferguson Situation And Poverty
” David Clarke, a sheriff in Milwaukee County, joined Megyn Kelly on The Kelly File to speak about Attorney General Eric Holder, President Obama, and Al Sharpton.
The sheriff began by unleashing on Holder for his statements when he threw police officers “under the bus,” suggesting they patrol just looking to kill black people.
“He claims he wants justice for all, but apparently he doesn’t want justice for police officers,” Clarke said.
Then the sheriff laid into Obama for his most recent White House meeting, which Clarke classified as a “Kabuki theater.” Had he attended the meeting, the sheriff said he would have asked the president why, if he was so concerned about the anger and unrest in the black community, he did not take an action that would actually work? “

State Dept. Plans To Bring Foreign Ebola Patients To US For Treatment
” According to an article published yesterday by the Washington Times, the State Department is quietly planning to bring foreign Ebola patients to the U.S. for treatment. An internal State Dept. document reveals that the U.S. will agree to allow Ebola-infected doctors and other medical workers into the country for treatment, arguing that is the only way to convince other nations to send medical teams to West Africa to help combat the dreaded disease.
Some countries “are implicitly or explicitly waiting for medevac assurances” before they will agree to send their own medical teams to join U.S. and U.N. aid workers on the ground, according to the Times, which has reviewed the document. The article says the document argues that other nations will be less likely to send medical teams to West Africa unless the U.S. promises to treat any medical workers who contract the disease.
” The United States needs to show leadership and act as we are asking others to act by admitting certain non-citizens into the country for medical treatment for Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) during the Ebola crisis,” says the four-page memo. The document was authored by Robert Sorenson, deputy director of the office of international health and biodefense.
The Times says the memo states that the U.S. would prefer the patients be treated in Europe, but that there are some cases in which the U.S. is “the logical treatment destination for non-citizens.” “

” 10-14-14 – ( Fox News – The Kelly File ) – CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden faced off with Megyn Kelly tonight over how the agency is dealing with cases of Ebola in the United States. Kelly even brought up calls by her colleagues, including Bill O’Reilly, for him to resign for his mishandling of the situation. Frieden kept assuring that despite a smattering of cases in the U.S., the CDC is doing everything it can to make sure contact with others is minimal and hospitals have the tools they need to treat. Kelly confronted him with past assurances that Ebola would be stopped in its tracks and wouldn’t be coming to the United States.
She pressed him on why the U.S. doesn’t just implement a travel ban. Frieden argued they’ve done enough by recommending all non-essential travel to West Africa be stopped for Americans, as well as stepping up airport screenings, but he doesn’t want to “isolate these countries” because it will “make it harder to stop the epidemic here.”
Kelly kept pushing him on hospitals not being fully equipped to treat Ebola before bringing up O’Reilly’s mad-as-hell call for Frieden to resign. Frieden basically dismissed those calls and insisted, “I’m focused on protecting Americans 24/7.” “

How Will ObamaCare Impact Prescription Drug Coverage?

MEGYN KELLY, HOST: We are seeing new reports tonight about another possible consequence of the health care overhaul. While media outlets continue to dig into the issue of losing your plan or losing your doctor — you can see this cover here on the Cincinnati Enquirer — we are now hearing that you may also be losing your prescription drug coverage, or at least find to get much more expensive.
Dr. Scott Gottlieb is a practicing physician and former senior policy adviser to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Doctor, good to see you again. And so, why is this a concern about possibly loosing or seeing a sharp uptick in the costs under your prescription drug coverage?
DR. SCOTT GOTTLIEB, PRACTICING PHYSICIAN: Well, there are two issues. One is the co-pays on the drugs are very high. So, on average there is about 40 percent you’re going to have to pay on branded drugs compared to about 25 percent in the private sector.
But the bigger issue is that the formula, the list of drugs or the plans cover in many cases aren’t very long. And if the drugs aren’t covered, then you’re on your own. You basically have to pay for it entirely out of pocket. And the money that you spend on those drugs doesn’t count against your out of pocket limits and it won’t count against your deductible. This could cost patients with special conditions, patients who need special drugs a lot of money. Literally tens of thousands of dollars a year.”

Slowly But Surely Unraveling Benghazi
” The take-away from this week’s session, so Representative Devin Nunes (R–CA) told Fox’s Megyn Kelly, was that the beleaguered U.S. diplomats and CIA staff in Benghazi were not beyond assistance, as Obama Administration officials would have us believe. Repeatedlymembers of the Administration have stated that there was just not enough time for military assets to come to the aid of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and his staff in the diplomatic facility, or the contractors and staff in the CIA annex roughly a mile away.
Yet, two factors have emerged, undercutting the Administration’s argument:
- The diplomatic facility came under attack at 9:00 p.m. on September11, fighting at the CIA annex erupted between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., and culminated with a mortar barrage at 5:00 a.m. on the 12th. Throughout the evening and the morning, people all over Benghazi, including other foreign diplomats, followed the fighting with fascination. No one could possibly know with certainty that this was the end of the battle, though Washington clearly hoped that it was.
- Seven CIA security specialists actually did come to the rescue from Tripoli, arriving at the CIA annex just as the mortar attack was erupting at 5:00 a.m. Their trip on a Libyan military C-130H cargo plane had been an exercise in massive frustration, including three and a half hours spent at the Benghazi airport, waiting on negotiations with local Libyan militias over safe passage from the airport to the CIA annex. The CIA specialists did finally make it to the annex, to the massive relief of the besieged staff. “
