” Hours before Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced he would send National Guard troops to the border, Texas state Senator Dan Patrick said there are at least 100,000 illegal immigrant gang members in the state. 

  On Monday’s The Laura Ingraham Show, Patrick, who is also the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, said from 2008 to 2012, 143,000 illegal immigrant criminals were arrested and jailed in Texas. He said these were “hardened criminals, gang members, and other criminals that we identified as being in Texas illegally.” 

” We charged them with 447,000 crimes, a half-million crimes in four years, just in Texas, including over 5,000 rapes and 2,000 murders,” Patrick said. “We estimate we have 100,000 gang members here illegally.” “

” For President Barack Obama, the humanitarian crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border is increasingly becoming a political liability, giving Republicans a fresh opportunity to question his administration’s competence and complicating the debate over the nation’s fractured immigration laws.

  Still, Obama is resisting calls to visit the border during his two-day fundraising trip to Texas, where he arrives late Wednesday afternoon. Instead, Obama will hold a meeting hundreds of miles away in Dallas to discuss the crisis with faith leaders and Texas officials, including Republican Gov. Rick Perry.

  Obama’s trip comes one day after he asked Congress for $3.7 billion in emergency spending to get more resources to the border.”

 

 

* We use the scare quotes around the word “border” because the “border” essentially no longer exists . If the theoretical line in the sand can be crossed with impunity then it is not a “border” which is defined as:

” the line that separates one country, state, province, etc., from another; frontier line: You cannot cross the   border without a visa.”

   Even members of his own party are starting to question his desire to deal with the “humanitarian” crisis of his own creation …

” Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, raised the prospect that Obama’s failure to take a firsthand look at the border crisis could be akin to former President George W. Bush viewing the devastation of Hurricane Katrina from the air instead of on the ground.”

    The only problem with Rep Cuellar’s comparison of the illegal immigrant crisis with Bush’s Katrina moment is the fact that in Bush’s case the press had a desire to embarrass the administration whilein Obama’s case they are doing everything within their power to protect him from the same sort of scrutiny .

Retired Border Patrol Agents Say Illegal Immigrant “Humanitarian Crisis” Is Manufactured A La Alinsky/Cloward-Piven

Ex-Border Agents: Immigrant Flood ‘Orchestrated’

 

 

 

” An organization of former Border Patrol agents Wednesday charged that the federal government, under the administration of President Obama, is deliberately arranging for a flood of immigrant children to arrive in America for political purposes.

“ This is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans by her political leaders that knowingly puts minor illegal alien children at risk for purely political purposes,” said the statement released by the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers.

“ Certainly, we are not gullible enough to believe that thousands of unaccompanied minor Central American children came to America without the encouragement, aid and assistance of the United States government,” the officers said.

“ Anyone that has taken two six- to seven-year-old children to an amusement park can only imagine the problems associated with bringing thousands of unaccompanied children that age up through Mexico and into the United States.”

 

 

   This “humanitarian crisis” is about as spontaneous as the Benghazi terror attack that left four Americans dead . While we won’t go so far as to suggest that Benghazi was deliberately allowed to happen by this administration we will not show the same charity as regards the current flood of illegal minors pouring into Texas and the entire southwest . 

    This has all the earmarks of an Alinsky-ite manufactured crisis and can be traced directly Rule #3:

 

* RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations (ed. note – states) under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

 

 

     It is highly ironic the Mr Alinsky passed away 42 years ago today , June 12 , 1972 . The “crisis” on our southern border also bears the hallmarks of the  Cloward-Piven strategy of overloading the system in order to create the need for the State to step in with a “solution” . Their hallmark essay of 1966 set the ground rules and provided a handbook for the eventual conversion of the Land of Liberty into a socialist “paradise” …

     If one were to propose one word that could best sum up the record of the Obama administration , “crisis” would most assuredly top our list . The entire history of the past six years reads as nothing more than a leap from a frying pan into the fire and back , over and over again . From Fast & Furious to Benghazi , from Healthcare to the Arab spring , from Ukraine to Illegal immigration , from Syria to Iran , from the VA scandal to the Bergdahl trade , oh hell , the list goes on and on …

 … but has there ever been a time when so many issues were unraveling at the same time ? Does anyone believe that much in the power of coincidence ? We don’t .

The entire purpose of sequestration was to inflict pain on the American people until they forced Republicans to raise taxes. But the reality is that the federal government is perfectly capable of reducing the growth of its spending, while still performing what few vital functions it actually performs. And the FAA is a great example.

President Obama requested $15.172 billion to run the FAA for 2013 and Congress initially gave him $16.668 billion. The sequester has since cut the FAA’s budget by $669 million, leaving the agency with $15.999 billion.
