The Five Deadliest Police States Of 2014

” If you had to guess which states had the most per-capita police involved deaths, would you include states like California, Texas, or New York? Or maybe Florida, Missouri, or Washington? Strange as it may seem, although these states do have many police involved deaths, they do not fall within the five deadliest.

California has a population of approximately 38,802,500. In 2014 there were around 106 killings, which calculates to about 2.73 police related deaths per million residents (PRDPMR). Texas had a population of about 26,956,958, and 53 killings, calculates to about 1.97 PRDPMR. With a population of about 19,746,227 and 19 killings, New York’s rate of deaths from police officers is only 0.96 PRDPMR. Florida’s rate is 2.01 PRDPMR, Missouri’s is 2.14 PRDPMR, and Washington’s is 2.55 PRDPMR.”

” Six things you can do to reduce the slaughter:

  1. Write letters to your state legislators and city councils demanding that they require police to get trained on de-escalation strategies and less-than-lethal methods, and that police and sheriff’s departments enact stricter rules for using lethal force.
  2. Vote out prosecutors that refuse to charge officers who needlessly take life.
  3. Write your local police chiefs and sheriffs demanding that they hold their officers and deputies to higher standards when it comes to the use of force. Let them know that you will hold them accountable for any loss of life that results from the excessive use of force from members of their agency.
  4. Always keep a video recording device with you, record every police encounter you see.
  5. Email the link to this article to all of your friends.
  6. Visit VictimsofPolice.com and look up the police related deaths that have recently occurred in your state. “

Man Tries To Save Stray Cat, Cops Shoot Him To Death

” Another innocent American citizen has been shot to death by police. This time, the citizen was simply trying to help an animal. The incident began when Robert Lawrence found a stray cat in need of help.

Robert picked up the cat and promptly took it to a nearby animal shelter where it could be provided with food and safety.

Employees at the shelter asked to see Robert’s drivers license. It is not known why they needed to see his ID, but according to reports they insisted on seeing it as Robert was leaving.

Robert, who happened to be a Sovereign Citizens member, did not own government-issued identification.

Robert explained to the animal shelter workers that he was a Sovereign and, since he did not use government-issued identification, offered to show alternative paperwork that would sufficiently identify himself.

Apparently, the shelter workers and Robert got into a dispute at that point. Robert was told he was not allowed to leave the shelter until he produced proper government-issued identification. The workers decided it would be a good idea to call the police.

When police arrived, the situation spiraled out of control. They informed Robert that he was going to be arrested.”

” The Dothan Animal Shelter hasn’t released a statement as to their version of the tragedy, but their Facebook page is taking a beating. According to their website, the Dothan Animal Shelter is run by the Dothan Police Department.”

Admittedly the man had a history with the police department , but the question remains , why was it necessary to show ID in order to perform a good deed ?

Greetings city of Albuquerque, we are Anonymous. Recently, a video has been released to the public which shows Albuquerque Police Officers murdering a man in cold blood for ‘illegally camping’. This man, which was schizophrenic, obviously had no intention of hurting these police officers, on the contrary, this man looks as if he is simply attempting to protect himself from visually fierce militarized thugs. Whether this man had a history of crime is irrelevant. We drastically need to address the growing police state that has occupied our country. When will we say no more? How many more citizens will be murdered? Naturally, the APD will attempt to label Anonymous as a terrorist organization for our demands of justice, but the question has to be asked. Who do we terrorize? Is it not a growing police state that terrorizes it’s own citizens?

APD you now have the full attention of Anonymous. To the citizens of Albuquerque, it’s time to organize. On March 30th we are asking the citizens of Albuquerque to occupy the APD HQ and occupy the sites of the Albuquerque Police Department. Let them know that your city is not a place for war games against the homeless and the less fortunate. Anonymous grab your cannons and aim them at Albuquerque police websites.

APD Chief: Threat Directed At Officer Justifies Foothills Shooting

” Video from an officer’s helmet camera raises many questions about an officer-involved shooting Sunday in the foothills.

As the suspect appears to surrender, police move in and ultimately shoot James Boyd, 38, several times with assault rifles.

Boyd had agreed to end a three-hour standoff and walk down the hill. First, he tried to make sure police will keep their word.

” Don’t change up the agreement. I’m going to try and walk now. Don’t try to harm me. If you keep your word, I can keep you safe,” says Boyd to officers.

Boyd’s hands are empty. He puts on his backpack. He reaches down to pick up a thermos, puts it in his right hand and grabs a blue bag in his left hand.

Just as he takes his first step to walk down police set off a flash-bang grenade. It fills the area with smoke to distract Boyd as a K-9 rushes him.

The question police refuse to answer Friday was why they fired the flash-bang, when Boyd had all of his belongings and started walking down the hill. As the situation escalates, Boyd reaches both hands into his pockets and pulls out what appears to be knives. “

Mother Of Three Negligently Shot In The Head During Botched Drug Raid

” The American Drug War claimed another casualty when a woman was shot in the head while sitting on a couch by an incompetent police officer, who fired his weapon through an exterior wall prior to raiding the home.

At about 10:30 p.m. on December 11th, a group of cops calling themselves the U.S. 23 Task Force swarmed the residence and prepared to break in and capture people for possessing drugs.   One of the officers, Sgt. Brett McKnight, an 11-year-veteran of the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, negligently handled his weapon and fired a round through the exterior wall of the mobile home.

The bullet traveled into the residence and struck a woman sitting on a couch.  Krystal Marie Barrows, 35, of Chillicothe, was “in critical condition” and flown by helicopter to Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center, where she died the following day. “
