LAPD Fatal Shooting Of Man Caught On Tape

” Authorities said Sunday night that Los Angeles police fatally shot a man on skid row during a struggle over an officer’s weapons.

Police officials offered a detailed account of what they say prompted the Sunday morning shooting, which was captured on video by a bystander.

Cmdr. Andrew Smith said officers assigned to the LAPD’s Central Division and Safer Cities Initiative — a task force focused on skid row — responded to the location about noon Sunday after receiving a 911 call reporting a possible robbery.

Smith said the officers approached the man and made contact with him, at which point he “began fighting and physically resisting the officers.” The officers attempted to take him into custody and at one point, attempted to use a Taser that Smith said was “ineffective.”

The man continued to resist police, Smith said, and the man and some of the officers fell to the ground.

” At some point in there, a struggle over one of the officer’s weapons occurred,” Smith said. “At that point an officer-involved shooting happened.”

Two officers and a sergeant fired at the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Smith said. It was unclear how many times the officers fired, although at least five shots can be heard on the video recording that captured the shooting.

No other gun was recovered at the scene, Smith said. It was unclear if the man had any other weapons among his possessions — investigators were still combing the scene late Sunday night.

The man has been tentatively identified, but Smith said it was unclear if he was homeless.”

Contempt Of Cop, America’s Defiance Revolution

“If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.”

Thomas Jefferson

” Increasingly, and openly, ordinary Americans are committing a legal act that some police nonetheless regard as among the most heinous of all offenses: it’s called contempt of cop.

It’s otherwise known as asserting your constitutional rights.

Citizens, feeling empowered, are pointing smartphones, rather than just an accusing finger, at abusive authorities.

Civil libertarians with hidden cameras are challenging the so-called “suspicion-less” roadblocks that police set up to catch lawbreakers. Motorists and others are fighting back in the courts and online against police shakedown rackets on U.S. highways and elsewhere.

Everywhere, it seems, Americans are openly challenging arbitrary behaviour by those in authority.

Furthermore, they are winning. Not since the late 1960s have those in authority, from heavy-handed cops to the federal operatives sifting metadata in super-secret intelligence installations, been exposed to so much disinfecting sunlight. “

Pennsylvania Police Department Claims Departmental Policy Forbids Them From Being Recorded in Public

lancaster cop

” A Pennsylvania cop responding to a report of an accident refused to talk to the citizen unless his friend turned off the camera.

The citizen insisted on his friend recording, so Lancaster police officer Philip Bernot walked back to his car and drove off, refusing to take the report.

The citizen said he called the desk sergeant to complain, but was told it is a departmental policy not to be recorded.

A departmental policy has to be in writing, so will someone please call them and ask for a copy while recording the conversation?

If you live in a two-party consent state, which you can find out through this link, inform them that you’re recording and just start asking them questions. “

“Move and F-ing Die” Cop Fired

” The Hurst, Texas police officer that was caught on film physically and verbally assaulting a 17-year-old boy has been fired, according to NBC-DFW.

“Hurst police officer Disraeli Arnold has been fired after being recorded on video threatening a teen and using profane language,” NBCDFW.com states.

In the video, Arnold can be seen running up to his fellow officer and landing a knee to Rodriguez’s head.

Arnold proceeded to verbally lash out at Rodriguez, yelling, “MOVE AND DIE. MOVE AND F***ING DIE. YOU GONNA MOVE AGAIN? F***ING MOVE AGAIN. F***ING MOVE AGAIN.”

The frothing officer then turned to the person filming and threatened him as well, saying, “You too, you f***ing move if you want to.” ”

Fired Cop Texas

” As we have exhaustively highlighted, no matter how much they may bow up to you, filming police is a lawful act that has been upheld by a First Court of Appeals ruling as well as a recent Supreme Court decision. So remember to keep your cell phone charged at all times. “
